Canada Family Visa

Canada is one of the most popular countries to settle with your family. As a large country with a very low population density Canada has always been welcoming towards immigrants. The easiest and most popular way of achieving a credible Canada family visa is through the sponsorship program. The Family Class sponsorship program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their dependant children, parents and grandparents. This also includes the spousal sponsorship program as well.

Immigration via Sponsorship to Canada

Children who are dependant to their parents both biological and adopted may be sponsored to live as permanent residents in Canada provided at least one of their parents is a sponsor who is a citizen or a permanent resident. If the sponsor can prove that they can support the dependants financially for a required period of time the program also allows the sponsorship of parents and grandparents to Canada. The sponsored relative should also be able to support themselves in the future.

Eligibility Criteria for Sponsors

Canada allows a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to be a sponsor as long as they fulfill the following conditions.

  • The sponsor should at least be of 18 years of age.
  • The sponsor should be financially doing well enough to support the dependent for a certain period of time.
  • The sponsor should also be able to prove to the concerned authorities that they are not getting any social assistance.
  • The sponsor should also be able to prove their relationship to the person being sponsored.

In addition to this, the sponsor and the person they are sponsoring should be invariably approved by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or the IRCC. You can consult Royal Study Services for further enquiries on family or spousal sponsorship in Canada.
